Building connection, celebrating community and sharing what's happening in our corner of Aberdeen.
We're delighted to launch the Great Western Community Centre blog - a new space where we'll share stories, updates and behind the scenes moments from across our busy, friendly centre.
Our aim is simple: to keep our community informed, connected and proud of everything happening here at GWCC.
What's been happening at the centre?
Over the past few months, the centre has been buzzing with activity. From fitness classes and performing arts to our Over 50s group and Parent & Toddler sessions, we've seen more people than ever using the space to learn, socialise and stay active.
We've also been working hard behind the scenes on:
Improving our facilities to make the centre more welcoming and accessible
Supporting local groups with hall hire and resources
Strengthening partnerships with charities, local organisations and community services
Planning new activities for all ages and abilities
There's a lot happening - and this blog will help you keep up with it all.
SPOTLIGHT: Our Over 50s Group:
One of our most popular weekly gatherings continues to be the over 50s group, where members enjoy talks, exercise, social time and a warm friendly atmosphere. We're currently lining up a series of new speakers, such as the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance Service. We'll share more updates here as speakers are confirmed.
PARENT & TODDLER GROUP UPDATE
Our Parent & Toddler group continues to be a lively, welcoming space for families. please note that the group will return on WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY, and we'll look forward to seeing everyone back then.
What you can expect from this blog::
We'll share:
what's on at GWCC

Our community is full of energy, creativity and we're excited to celebrate this!
